BRINKMAN FOREST RESTORATION (Brinkman) is the international business development arm of the Canadian firm Brinkman & Associates Reforestation. Brinkman seeks to become a world leader in using forest restoration to combat climate change and restore ecosystems.
Brinkman has a well developed forestry expertise, having been in the reforestation business in northern climates since 1970 and in tropical climates since 1995. We have planted over 900 million trees and manage plantation and mature forest lands totaling over 1 million hectares. Private forest assets under management are approximately $70 million and public land tenure assets are significantly beyond that.

Brinkman re-establishes forests on deforested or degraded forest land and manages existing forestlands to achieve superior ecological, social and financial goals. Brinkman works with and links together private landowners, governments, forest investment firms, ecologically focused investors and others to create innovative investment opportunities in afforestation, reforestation and avoided deforestation. We work on a co-development or contract basis, worldwide.
We have a proven track record of working with aboriginal and community stakeholders. Brinkman works closely with 4 aboriginal communities to sustainably manage their forest tenures covering roughly 1 million hectares of land.
In Central America, Brinkman has been active since 1995 under the brand name BARCA (Brinkman y Asociados Reforestadores de Centro America, S.A.) to provide FSC certified management to high value tropical hardwood plantations.
